The 13th Japan International Apparel & Non-Apparel Manufacturing Technology Trade Show (JIAM 2024 OSAKA), organized by Japan Sewing Machinery Manufacturers Association, with the theme of “It all connects at JIAM ∼ the forefront of technology and master craftsmanship”, was held in Osaka, Japan, on 27th November. He Ye, Honorary Chairman He Ye visited the exhibition, and Chairman Yang Xiaojing was invited to attend the opening ceremony and ribbon-cutting.

JIAM 2024 OSAKA was held from 27th to 30th November and opened four halls, 2, 3, 4 and 5A of INTEX OSAKA, there are 988 booths, attracting 157 exhibitors from 10 countries and regions, including China, Germany, Hong Kong, Chinese Taiwan, Japan, India, Italy, Singapore, Thailand and the United Kingdom. The exhibition focuses on IoT technology, drive systems, robotics, CAD/CAM applications and expands the non-apparel manufacturing category to aerospace and automation, aiming to show new business space in the sewing machinery industry and promote the construction of new application platforms. JIAM 2024 OSAKA established featured showing area for China Sewing Machinery Association (CSMA), VDMA Textile Care, Fabric & Leather Technology Association, and the Chinese Taiwan Sewing Machinery Association (TSMA), showcasing scientific research achievements in each segmented area and application extension. 11 Chinese sewing equipment companies organized by CSMA exhibited on the show, and more than 20 enterprises leading officials attended CSMA group for a focused visit.

After the opening ceremony, Honorary Chairman He Ye, Chairman Yang Xiaojing, Vice Chairman Liu Min visited the booths of Maqi, Juki, Lejiang, Qixing, Shunfa, Brother, Yamato, Doso, Jinzhen, Ina, Mingxing, Aktion, Sage, Leman, Mitchell, Shing Ling and etc., to get a detailed picture of the exhibition situation and to have in-depth communication with the main exhibitors.

On the first day of the exhibition, representatives of downstream users and distributors from Japan and neighbor Asian countries came to the meeting to exchange and docking, including representatives of multinational groups and other key users, and the overall number of visitors was considerable. Many enterprise leaders said that with the help of the exhibition platform, they could show the latest R & D results in the JIAM to the global customers, the effect is obvious, they have reached preliminary cooperation with and a lot of potential customers, effectively expanding the market margins. And a number of participating enterprises said that following the Association to visit the JIAM exhibition further broadened their horizons, and established a new cognition of the industry's technological development trend and stage-by-stage achievements, which played a substantial reference role in their own development.

Chairman Yang Xiaojing pointed out that, China's sewing enterprises have taken the initiative to go abroad, showing strong innovation momentum and market development ability. Firstly, around the global integration strategy layout, Chinese enterprises see new products, new technologies, new applications as the core competitiveness, and constantly expand the market margin, and is accelerating the construction of a higher quality of the double cycle of the new development pattern. Secondly, China sewing machinery is deeply practicing the national strategy of increasing varieties, improving quality, creating brands, achieving comprehensive improvement of quality, variety and brand, daring to compete with overseas enterprises, and fully demonstrating the strength and outlook of a strong country and strong enterprise. Thirdly, in-depth collaboration, brand co-construction, technology interoperability, system reshaping, more and more cross-border cooperation into the new stage of eclecticism, mutual benefit and win-win situation, is becoming the industry development trend and feasible path.

Chairman Yang Xiaojing stressed that CSMA will always uphold the purpose of serving the industry and enterprises, take common demand as the starting point and focus, and on the basis of exhibition and delegation organization, enrich the means and methods of service in multiple forms and through multiple channels, and spare no efforts to carry out the work, guide enterprises to speed up the strategic layout, and help China Sewing Machine accelerate its mastery of the discourse power of the global sewing industry chain.
